KATHMANDU: As Nepal’s digital economy continues to accelerate, the Fintech Alliance Nepal> (FAN) is set to host the second edition of the Nepal Fintech Expo from October 9–11, 2026 (Asoj 23–25, 2083 BS) at Heritage Garden in Lalitpur.
Expanded from a two-day event last year to a three-day exhibition, the expo reflects the growing maturity and institutionalization of Nepal’s fintech ecosystem. Building on the success of its inaugural edition, organizers have significantly increased both the scale and scope of the event.
This year’s expo will feature more than 65 exhibition booths, two dedicated experience zones, and participation from both domestic and international fintech companies, highlighting the sector’s expanding reach.
While last year’s discussions largely focused on digital payments and mobile banking, the 2026 edition will broaden its agenda to include artificial intelligence (AI), embedded finance, and lending technologies. The expanded focus underscores Nepal’s efforts to align its fintech industry with global technological trends.
Several companies are also expected to unveil new products and services during the event, positioning the expo not only as an industry showcase but increasingly as a platform for product launches and innovation.
The opening ceremony will be held on October 9 at the Classic Venue within Heritage Garden, bringing together banks, financial institutions, regulators, investors and startups under one roof. Organizers believe the gathering will promote closer dialogue between regulators and innovators, supporting the development of Nepal’s digital financial ecosystem.
More than 6,000 participants are expected to attend the three-day event. Alongside industry professionals, the expo will actively engage students and technology enthusiasts as part of a broader effort to inspire the next generation of fintech talent.
FAN, which currently has 53 corporate members, has been promoting collaboration within Nepal’s fintech industry through regular initiatives such as Fintech Friday, Fintech Social, and the CTO Retreat. Organizers say the Nepal Fintech Expo represents the flagship extension of those ongoing efforts.
