KATHMANDU: The Special Court has ordered the release of former Nepal Micro Insurance chairman Ashish Shrestha on bail.
A bench comprising Special Court Chairperson Basudev Acharya and members Hemanta Rawal and Umesh Koirala issued the order on Thursday.
A money laundering case had been filed against Shrestha and others on June 11. Shrestha had submitted an application to appear before the court on August 20.
Following a detention hearing on his application, the bench ordered his release on Rs 2.5 million bail.
