KATHMANDU: The Nepali bodybuilding team is leaving for Thailand today to participate in the 58th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship starting from today.
Juni Rai, Ripu Gharti, Sagendra Singh, Paris Shrestha, Resham Rana, Biplav Thapa Magar, and Pranesh Shrestha will be competing in the championship to be held in Bangkok until September 28.
Ramcharitra Mehta, the member-secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC), on Monday saw off the Nepali team.
Rajesh Babu Shrestha is the team leader, Bijay Lal Kayastha and Dinesh Kumar Rajbhandari are the officials, Rujesh Shahi the coach, Rajesh Bahadur Shrestha is the team manager, and Pratap Kaji Baria will participate as the judge in the competition.
