Nepal Rastra Bank announces foreign currency exchange rates for today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign currency exchange rates applicable for today.

The central bank has set the buying rate of one US dollar at Rs 152.59 and the selling rate at Rs 153.19. Likewise, one European euro is being bought at Rs 176.96 and sold at Rs 177.65, while one UK pound sterling is fixed at Rs 206.18 for buying and Rs 206.99 for selling. The buying and selling rates of one Swiss franc stand at Rs 187.34 and Rs 188.08, respectively.

The rate for one Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 109.41 for buying and Rs 109.84 for selling. Similarly, one Canadian dollar is set at Rs 110.19 for buying and Rs 110.62 for selling. The buying rate of one Singapore dollar is Rs 120.35, while the selling rate is Rs 120.83.

For Japanese currency, 10 yen has a buying rate of Rs 9.90 and a selling rate of Rs 9.94. One Chinese yuan is fixed at Rs 22.75 for buying and Rs 22.84 for selling. Similarly, one Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 40.63 and a selling rate of Rs 40.79, while one Qatari riyal is set at Rs 41.86 and Rs 42.02 for buying and selling, respectively.

The central bank has fixed the buying rate of one Thai baht at Rs 4.62 and the selling rate at Rs 4.64. One UAE dirham is being bought at Rs 41.55 and sold at Rs 41.71. Meanwhile, the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 37.49 and the selling rate at Rs 37.63.

The rates for 100 South Korean won have been set at Rs 11.37 for buying and Rs 11.77 for selling. One Swedish krona has a buying rate of Rs 15.75 and a selling rate of Rs 15.81, while one Danish krone is fixed at Rs 23.67 for buying and Rs 23.77 for selling.

For other currencies, the buying and selling rates of one Hong Kong dollar are Rs 19.46 and Rs 19.53, respectively. One Kuwaiti dinar is fixed at Rs 497.60 for buying and Rs 499.56 for selling. Similarly, one Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs 404.72 and a selling rate of Rs 406.11, while one Omani rial is set at Rs 396.33 and Rs 397.89, respectively.

The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees remains at Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has clarified that the published rates may be revised at any time depending on prevailing circumstances. Exchange rates offered by commercial banks may differ from the central bank’s official rates. The latest rates can be accessed through the official website of Nepal Rastra Bank.
