KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the official foreign exchange rates for today, with the buying rate of the US dollar set at Rs 152.59 and the selling rate at Rs 153.19.
The central bank has set the buying rate of the euro at Rs 177 and the selling rate at Rs 177.70. The British pound sterling has been fixed at Rs 206.29 for buying and Rs 207.11 for selling, while the Swiss franc stands at Rs 186.91 for buying and Rs 187.64 for selling.
Similarly, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 109.41 and a selling rate of Rs 109.84. The Canadian dollar is priced at Rs 110.10 for buying and Rs 110.44 for selling, while the Singapore dollar has been set at Rs 120.42 for buying and Rs 120.89 for selling.
For 10 Japanese yen, the buying rate is Rs 9.94 and the selling rate is Rs 9.98. The Chinese yuan has been fixed at Rs 22.75 for buying and Rs 22.84 for selling. Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 40.63 and a selling rate of Rs 40.79, while the Qatari riyal has been set at Rs 41.86 for buying and Rs 42.02 for selling.
The buying rate of the Thai baht has been fixed at Rs 4.61, with the selling rate at Rs 4.63. The UAE dirham stands at Rs 41.55 for buying and Rs 41.71 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit has a buying rate of Rs 37.49 and a selling rate of Rs 37.63. Meanwhile, the South Korean won has been fixed at Rs 11.37 for buying and Rs 11.42 for selling.
The Swedish krona has been set at Rs 15.74 for buying and Rs 15.80 for selling, while the Danish krone has a buying rate of Rs 23.68 and a selling rate of Rs 23.77.
According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 19.46 for buying and Rs 19.53 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 497.60 for buying and Rs 499.56 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar has been fixed at Rs 404.72 for buying and Rs 406.11 for selling. The Omani rial has a buying rate of Rs 396.33 and a selling rate of Rs 397.89.
The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been maintained at Rs 160 for both buying and selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that the exchange rates may be revised at any time depending on prevailing circumstances. Rates offered by commercial banks may vary from those set by the central bank. The latest exchange rates can be obtained from the Nepal Rastra Bank website.
