KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates applicable for today, with the central bank setting the buying rate for one US dollar at Rs 152.31 and the selling rate at Rs 152.91.
For the euro, the buying rate has been fixed at Rs 176.43 and the selling rate at Rs 177.12. The British pound sterling is set at Rs 206.13 for buying and Rs 206.94 for selling, while the Swiss franc stands at Rs 188.19 for buying and Rs 188.93 for selling.
The central bank has fixed the Australian dollar at Rs 109.06 for buying and Rs 109.49 for selling. The Canadian dollar has been set at Rs 109.54 and Rs 109.97, respectively, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 119.46 for buying and Rs 119.93 for selling.
The exchange rate for 10 Japanese yen has been set at Rs 9.51 for buying and Rs 9.55 for selling. One Chinese yuan is valued at Rs 22.64 for buying and Rs 22.73 for selling. Similarly, one Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 40.57 and a selling rate of Rs 40.73, while the Qatari riyal is fixed at Rs 41.78 and Rs 41.95, respectively.
The buying rate for one Thai baht is Rs 4.59, with a selling rate of Rs 4.61. One UAE dirham is set at Rs 41.47 for buying and Rs 41.63 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit has been fixed at Rs 37.83 for buying and Rs 37.98 for selling. Meanwhile, 100 South Korean won have a buying rate of Rs 11.06 and a selling rate of Rs 11.10.
The Swedish krona has been set at Rs 15.85 for buying and Rs 15.92 for selling, while the Danish krone carries a buying rate of Rs 23.61 and a selling rate of Rs 23.70.
For other major currencies, the Hong Kong dollar has a buying rate of Rs 19.43 and a selling rate of Rs 19.51. The Kuwaiti dinar is set at Rs 496.37 for buying and Rs 498.32 for selling. The Bahraini dinar has been fixed at Rs 404.01 and Rs 405.60, respectively, while the Omani rial stands at Rs 395.63 for buying and Rs 397.18 for selling.
The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.
Nepal Rastra Bank said the published rates may be revised at any time depending on requirements. The rates offered by commercial banks may also vary from those set by the central bank. The latest exchange rate information can be obtained from the Nepal Rastra Bank website.
