Nepal Rastra Bank fixes foreign exchange rates for today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates for today, with the buying rate for one US dollar set at Rs 150.88 and the selling rate at Rs 151.48.

The central bank has fixed the buying rate of one euro at Rs 175.34 and the selling rate at Rs 176.03. The British pound sterling has been set at Rs 204.23 for buying and Rs 205.04 for selling, while the Swiss franc stands at Rs 186.51 and Rs 187.26 for buying and selling, respectively.

For other major currencies, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 108.91 and a selling rate of Rs 109.34. The Canadian dollar is fixed at Rs 109.15 for buying and Rs 109.58 for selling, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 119.18 and Rs 119.65, respectively.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen has been set at Rs 9.76, with the selling rate at Rs 9.80. One Chinese yuan is valued at Rs 22.48 for buying and Rs 22.57 for selling. Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal has been fixed at Rs 40.18 for buying and Rs 40.34 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 41.39 and Rs 41.56, respectively.

The central bank has fixed the Thai baht at Rs 4.59 for buying and Rs 4.61 for selling. The UAE dirham has a buying rate of Rs 41.08 and a selling rate of Rs 41.24, while the Malaysian ringgit is set at Rs 37.29 and Rs 37.44, respectively.

For 100 South Korean won, the buying rate has been fixed at Rs 11.21 and the selling rate at Rs 11.26. The Swedish krona stands at Rs 15.73 for buying and Rs 15.79 for selling, while the Danish krone is fixed at Rs 23.46 and Rs 23.55, respectively.

The buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar has been set at Rs 19.24 and the selling rate at Rs 19.32. One Kuwaiti dinar has a buying rate of Rs 491.71 and a selling rate of Rs 493.66, while the Bahraini dinar is fixed at Rs 400.19 for buying and Rs 401.78 for selling.

The buying rate for one Omani rial has been set at Rs 391.89, with the selling rate at Rs 393.45. Meanwhile, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 for both buying and selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank said the exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It also noted that commercial banks may offer rates different from those fixed by the central bank. The latest exchange rates can be viewed on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
