KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has initiated the process to mint 400 million units of one-rupee coins.
The central bank has invited international tenders for the design, minting, and supply of the new currency.
According to the Currency Management Department of the central bank, interested international companies are invited to submit their proposals for the production of these coins. The deadline for submitting the tender proposals is Nov. 2.
The bank stated that the proposals must be submitted to the Banking Department of Nepal Rastra Bank, located in Thapathali.
