KATHMANDU: The government has requested technical and expert assistance from friendly nations to enhance search and rescue operations for individuals trapped in a tunnel.
Alongside ongoing rescue efforts, advanced technology has been requested to assist in locating and identifying the trapped individuals, according to Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal.
The government indicated that foreign support is particularly crucial for rapid DNA analysis, victim identification, and the long-term management of bodies.
During a press briefing held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday, Minister Khanal stated that technical support from friendly nations will play a critical role in managing the disaster.
