The committee is currently counting votes for open, female, provincial, inclusive, and other central committee categories. There are 45 positions under the open central member category.
The committee stated that the large number of candidates and ballots has contributed to the time required for the final tally.
Election officials are working in groups at the party’s central office in Sanepa to expedite the process.
Once the remaining results are announced, the full structure of the new central working committee elected through the 15th general convention will be confirmed.
