KATHMANDU: Popular Nepali band Nepathya is set to perform in Itahari, Sunsari, for the first time. The concert is scheduled to take place at the Itahari Stadium on Wednesday, Nov. 3.
Organized by Purwanchal Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the event will feature lead singer Amrit Gurung and other band members performing their popular tracks. Organizers stated that physical ticket sales have concluded, with online booking remaining open for two additional days. With tickets purchased by audiences from various districts across Koshi Province, organizers expect a significant turnout.
This event marks the first time a local organization has taken the initiative to host a concert of this scale, moving away from the previous reliance on external organizers. The initiative is expected to contribute to the promotion and development of musical tourism in eastern Nepal. Organizers anticipate that the influx of attendees will boost local businesses, including hotels and transportation services.
The concert is being held under the patronage of the Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City, with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Forests and Environment and the provincial government of Koshi. The main sponsor for the event is Suck Energy Drinks. Kul Bahadur Karki, managing director of the organizing agency, stated that preparations regarding security, venue management, and attendee access have been prioritized to ensure a smooth event.
