KATHMANDU: Nepal’s benchmark stock market index (NEPSE), fell 7.37 points on Friday to close at 2,643.83, according to the Nepal Stock Exchange.
The Sensitive Index, which tracks the performance of large-cap companies, edged up 0.13 points to 464.73. The Float Index declined 0.40 points to 181.76, while the Sensitive Float Index fell 0.19 points to 157.13.
A total of 97.54 million shares of various companies were traded for Rs 4.28 billion. Of the 13 subgroups, four recorded gains while nine declined.
Shares of 101 companies gained, while 164 declined and 12 remained unchanged.
Among the day’s gainers were Mount Everest Power Development Company, Sarbottam Paints and Khanikhola Hydropower. Super Khudi Hydropower, Citizen Balanced Scheme and Shangrila Development Bank Debenture were among the major losers.
