KATHMANDU: The stock market saw a decline of 12.95 points on Thursday. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, both the market index and the total turnover recorded a fall during the trading session.
The total turnover for the day stood at Rs 4.72 billion, down from the Rs 7 billion recorded on the previous day. Following the market trend, the share prices of 211 companies declined, while 56 companies saw an increase. The share prices of 12 companies remained stable.
The market recorded a maximum growth rate of 2.96 percent and a maximum decline of 5.09 percent. The highest single-day turnover for a company reached Rs 180 million. While the microfinance sector saw gains, all other sectors ended the day in the red.
