KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index saw a minor gain on the day, closing at 2655.22 points after rising by 2.64 points. The market experienced fluctuations throughout the trading session, reaching a high of 2662 points before steadying to close in the green.
A total of 336 scrips were traded during the session. Through 33,215 transactions, 10.7 million shares changed hands, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 3.46 billion. Market breadth remained positive, with the share prices of 158 companies increasing, while 107 companies saw their values decline. The share prices of 14 companies remained stable.
Most sub-indices showed improvement during the day, although the ‘others’ group experienced a minor decline. Crest Micro Life Insurance led the top gainers, with its share price rising by 14.08 percent to reach Rs 1192 per share. Other companies recorded single-digit fluctuations in their share prices.
In terms of transaction volume, Ghorahi Cement topped the list, with over Rs 216.3 million worth of its shares traded during the session.
