KATHMANDU: Authorities have suspended night-time vehicular movement on the Beni–Jomsom and Beni–Darbang roads in Myagdi after forecasts of heavy rainfall.
The District Security Committee decided to halt traffic from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Sunday and Monday following a warning from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority of heavy rain during the two-day period.
The Beni–Jomsom road, part of the Kali Gandaki Corridor, is a key route connecting travelers to Muktinath and the Korala border crossing.
Chief District Officer Rabindra Acharya said the Beni–Darbang road, which links western Myagdi with the district headquarters, will also remain closed during night hours for the two days.
