NRB announces foreign currency exchange rates for today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today (Thursday).

The central bank has fixed the buying rate of one US dollar at Rs 152.24 and the selling rate at Rs 152.84.

For the euro, the buying rate has been set at Rs 175.62 and the selling rate at Rs 176.32. One UK pound sterling has been fixed at Rs 205.76 for buying and Rs 206.57 for selling, while the Swiss franc has been set at Rs 187.37 for buying and Rs 188.11 for selling.

The Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 107.55 for buying and Rs 107.97 for selling. The Canadian dollar stands at Rs 109.25 buying and Rs 109.68 selling, while the Singapore dollar has been set at Rs 118.96 buying and Rs 119.42 selling.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.56 and the selling rate is Rs 9.60. The Chinese yuan has been fixed at Rs 22.58 for buying and Rs 22.67 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 40.55 buying and Rs 40.71 selling, while the Qatari riyal has been fixed at Rs 41.76 buying and Rs 41.92 selling.

According to NRB, the Thai baht has a buying rate of Rs 4.60 and a selling rate of Rs 4.62. The UAE dirham has been set at Rs 41.45 buying and Rs 41.62 selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 37.26 buying and Rs 37.41 selling.

Similarly, 100 South Korean won has been fixed at Rs 10.75 for buying and Rs 10.80 for selling. The Swedish krona has been set at Rs 15.96 buying and Rs 16.02 selling, while the Danish krone has been fixed at Rs 23.49 buying and Rs 23.59 selling.

The buying rate of the Hong Kong dollar has been set at Rs 19.40 and the selling rate at Rs 19.48. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 495.49 buying and Rs 497.45 selling. The Bahraini dinar has been fixed at Rs 403.79 buying and Rs 405.38 selling, while the Omani rial has been set at Rs 395.41 buying and Rs 396.97 selling.

For Indian currency, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

NRB said the exchange rates may be revised at any time if required. It also noted that rates determined by commercial banks may vary, and the latest official rates are available on the central bank’s website.
