KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the foreign exchange rates for today, with the buying rate of one US dollar set at Rs 152.37 and the selling rate at Rs 152.97.
The central bank has fixed the buying rate of one euro at Rs 177.78 and the selling rate at Rs 178.48. Likewise, one British pound sterling is valued at Rs 207.86 for buying and Rs 208.67 for selling, while one Swiss franc is set at Rs 189.85 and Rs 190.59, respectively.
The buying and selling rates of one Australian dollar are Rs 108.99 and Rs 109.42, respectively. Similarly, one Canadian dollar is set at Rs 109.97 for buying and Rs 110.40 for selling, while one Singapore dollar is fixed at Rs 119.95 and Rs 120.42, respectively.
The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.57 and the selling rate is Rs 9.60. One Chinese yuan is set at Rs 22.68 for buying and Rs 22.76 for selling. Likewise, one Saudi Arabian riyal is fixed at Rs 40.58 and Rs 40.74, while one Qatari riyal is set at Rs 41.79 and Rs 41.96 for buying and selling, respectively.
According to the central bank, one Thai baht is set at Rs 4.65 for buying and Rs 4.67 for selling. The buying and selling rates of one UAE dirham are Rs 41.48 and Rs 41.65, respectively, while one Malaysian ringgit is fixed at Rs 37.65 and Rs 37.80.
The buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 11.01 and the selling rate is Rs 11.05. The source lists another currency at Rs 16.06 for buying and Rs 16.12 for selling but does not identify the currency. One Danish krone is fixed at Rs 23.78 for buying and Rs 23.87 for selling.
The buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar is Rs 19.44 and the selling rate is Rs 19.52. Similarly, one Kuwaiti dinar is set at Rs 496.56 for buying and Rs 498.52 for selling, while one Bahraini dinar is fixed at Rs 404.14 and Rs 405.73, respectively.
One Omani rial is set at Rs 395.78 for buying and Rs 397.34 for selling. Meanwhile, the buying and selling rates of 100 Indian rupees have been fixed at Rs 160 and Rs 160.15, respectively.
Nepal Rastra Bank said the exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that rates offered by commercial banks may vary and that updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s website.
