KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for Wednesday, setting the buying rate of one US dollar at Rs 152.40 and the selling rate at Rs 153.00.
According to the central bank, one euro is being bought at Rs 175.79 and sold at Rs 176.48. The buying and selling rates for one UK pound sterling have been fixed at Rs 205.76 and Rs 206.57, while one Swiss franc has been set at Rs 187.88 for buying and Rs 188.62 for selling.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 107.53 and the selling rate at Rs 107.96. One Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 109.37 and sold at Rs 109.80, while one Singapore dollar has a buying rate of Rs 118.96 and a selling rate of Rs 119.42.
Similarly, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.57 and the selling rate at Rs 9.60. One Chinese yuan has a buying rate of Rs 22.59 and a selling rate of Rs 22.68. One Saudi Arabian riyal is valued at Rs 40.59 for buying and Rs 40.75 for selling, while one Qatari riyal has been fixed at Rs 41.80 and Rs 41.97 respectively.
NRB has set the buying and selling rates of one Thai baht at Rs 4.59 and Rs 4.61. One UAE dirham is being bought at Rs 41.50 and sold at Rs 41.66, while one Malaysian ringgit has rates of Rs 37.24 for buying and Rs 37.39 for selling.
Similarly, the buying rate of 100 South Korean won has been fixed at Rs 10.76 and the selling rate at Rs 10.80. One Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 16.02 and sold at Rs 16.08, while one Danish krone has a buying rate of Rs 23.51 and a selling rate of Rs 23.61.
The central bank has also fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.42 and the selling rate at Rs 19.50. One Kuwaiti dinar has been set at Rs 496.26 for buying and Rs 498.21 for selling. One Bahraini dinar is valued at Rs 404.19 for buying and Rs 405.78 for selling, while one Omani rial has a buying rate of Rs 395.83 and a selling rate of Rs 397.39.
The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
NRB has stated that the exchange rates may be revised whenever necessary. It also noted that commercial bank rates may vary, and the latest official rates are available on the central bank’s website.
