KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the foreign exchange rates for Friday.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 152.41 and the selling rate at Rs 153.01.
The euro is being bought at Rs 175.80 and sold at Rs 176.50. The buying rate for the UK pound sterling is Rs 205.65, while the selling rate is Rs 206.46. Likewise, the Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 187.62 for buying and Rs 188.35 for selling.
Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar has been set at Rs 107.56 for buying and Rs 107.98 for selling. The Canadian dollar is being exchanged at Rs 109.33 for buying and Rs 109.76 for selling, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 119.06 for buying and Rs 119.53 for selling.
For Asian and Gulf currencies, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.56 and the selling rate is Rs 9.60. One Chinese yuan is valued at Rs 22.60 for buying and Rs 22.69 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal has been fixed at Rs 40.59 for buying and Rs 40.75 for selling, while the Qatari riyal is set at Rs 41.80 for buying and Rs 41.97 for selling.
Similarly, the Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.60 and sold at Rs 4.62. The UAE dirham has been fixed at Rs 41.50 for buying and Rs 41.66 for selling, and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.29 for buying and Rs 37.44 for selling.
The central bank has also fixed the buying rate of 100 South Korean won at Rs 10.72 and the selling rate at Rs 10.76. The Swedish krona is set at Rs 15.95 for buying and Rs 16.01 for selling, while the Danish krone stands at Rs 23.52 for buying and Rs 23.61 for selling.
According to NRB, the Hong Kong dollar is being bought at Rs 19.42 and sold at Rs 19.50. The Kuwaiti dinar has been fixed at Rs 496.05 for buying and Rs 498.00 for selling. The Bahraini dinar is valued at Rs 404.24 for buying and Rs 405.84 for selling, while the Omani rial is set at Rs 395.85 for buying and Rs 397.41 for selling.
The buying and selling rates for 100 Indian rupees have both been maintained at Rs 160.00.
NRB stated that the exchange rates are subject to revision at any time as needed. It also noted that rates quoted by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
