NRB revises foreign exchange rates for today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for Tuesday, with the rates set for major international currencies.

The central bank has fixed the buying rate of one US dollar at Rs 152.67 and the selling rate at Rs 152.27.

Similarly, one euro has been set at Rs 177.03 for buying and Rs 177.72 for selling. The buying rate for one British pound sterling is Rs 207, while the selling rate is Rs 207.81. The Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 188.55 for buying and Rs 189.29 for selling.

The Australian dollar is valued at Rs 108.78 for buying and Rs 109.20 for selling. Likewise, the buying rate for one Canadian dollar is Rs 110.17 and the selling rate is Rs 110.60. The Singapore dollar has been fixed at Rs 119.64 for buying and Rs 120.11 for selling.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.59, with the selling rate at Rs 9.63. One Chinese yuan is set at Rs 22.66 for buying and Rs 22.75 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal has been fixed at Rs 40.66 for buying and Rs 40.82 for selling, while the Qatari riyal is set at Rs 41.88 and Rs 42.05, respectively.

According to NRB, the buying rate for one Thai baht is Rs 4.63 and the selling rate is Rs 4.64. The UAE dirham has been fixed at Rs 41.57 for buying and Rs 41.73 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit is set at Rs 37.60 and Rs 37.75, respectively.

The buying rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.81 and the selling rate is Rs 10.85. Similarly, one Swedish krona is valued at Rs 16.10 for buying and Rs 16.16 for selling, while one Danish krone is fixed at Rs 23.68 for buying and Rs 23.77 for selling.

The central bank has set the buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.46 and the selling rate at Rs 19.54. The Kuwaiti dinar is fixed at Rs 497.22 for buying and Rs 499.17 for selling. Likewise, one Bahraini dinar is set at Rs 404.95 for buying and Rs 406.54 for selling, while the Omani rial is valued at Rs 396.53 for buying and Rs 398.09 for selling.

The buying and selling rates for 100 Indian rupees remain unchanged at Rs 160.

NRB said the exchange rates may be revised at any time depending on market conditions. It also noted that commercial banks may quote different rates, with the latest rates available on the central bank’s website.
