KATHMANDU: A man from Kavrepalanchok has been arrested for allegedly cheating a person out of Rs 3.7 million by claiming he could arrange employment in Canada.

The suspect, 42-year-old Achyut Dulal of Mandandeupur Municipality-6, was arrested in Gokarneshwor after the Department of Foreign Employment issued a warrant against him, police said.

According to investigators, Dulal allegedly collected Rs 3.7 million from the victim on the pretext of securing a job opportunity in Canada.

Police said he has been handed over to the Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation and legal proceedings.
