BAJURA: A landslide triggered by continuous rainfall buried a house in Tamsu of Tribeni Municipality-9, leaving one person missing and two others injured.
The house, owned by local residents Dharma Thapa, 39, and Karna Bahadur Thapa, 43, was swept away after heavy rain that had persisted since Thursday night caused the landslide.
Naresh Bahadur Shahi, information officer and police inspector at the District Police Office, said two people were injured when the landslide hit the house.
According to ward chair Nanda Thapa, ongoing rainfall has hampered rescue efforts and the search for the missing person.
A 17-member rescue team led by District Police Office Chief and Deputy Superintendent of Police Shaileshwari Bohara has been deployed to the site with the required rescue equipment.
