KATHMANDU: More than 1,000 passengers have utilized the free bus service provided by the Armed Police Force (APF) in the Kathmandu Valley over the past two days.
APF spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General Netra Bahadur Karki stated that 450 people used the service on Monday, followed by 613 passengers on Tuesday.
The APF launched the free service on Monday to address the shortage of public transportation during the Dashain festival. Two buses are currently operating within the Kathmandu Valley, providing service from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.
According to the APF, the service was initially planned for three days but may be extended by one additional day depending on public necessity. The initiative aims to provide relief to commuters facing transportation challenges during the holiday period.
