KATHMANDU: More than 40 tons of critical emergency relief supplies sent by the American humanitarian organization Samaritan’s Purse have arrived in Kathmandu to support communities severely affected by recent devastating floods.
The air transported shipment carries essential life-saving items, including water filters, tarps, blankets, hygiene kits, and solar lights.
The emergency materials are calculated to support approximately 2,600 flood-impacted families and will be distributed in hard-hit areas through trusted local organizations operating directly on the ground.
The U.S. Embassy in Nepal confirmed it is working in close coordination with the Government of Nepal and multiple partner agencies to ensure the rapid delivery of aid that directly matches the specific needs of the affected regions.
