KATHMANDU: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has unanimously approved the nominees recommended for the positions of Chief Election Commissioner and two Election Commissioners.
At a meeting held on Wednesday, the committee endorsed the appointment of Man Bahadur Karki as Chief Election Commissioner, and Guru Wagle and Dr. Rajiv Subba as Election Commissioners.

The parliamentary hearings for the two Election Commissioner nominees were conducted on Tuesday, while the hearing for Karki, who has been proposed as Chief Election Commissioner, was held on Wednesday. Following the committee’s approval, the process for their formal appointment will now move forward.
