KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has carried out onsite inspection of flood-hit Bidur and surrounding areas in Nuwakot.
PM Shah, along with Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal, had departed for Nuwakot via land route at 9:30 am today and returned back to Kathmandu today itself after inspecting the ground situation and damages at flood-affected areas, according to PM Shah’s Secretariat.
The flood in Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa occurred on Wednesday morning caused a huge destruction of lives and properties.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shah conducted onsite inspection of physical losses as well as held extensive discussions with local administration, security bodies and people’s representatives.
On the occasion, he directed the local administration and bodies concerned to immediately provide relief to displace families, to immediately bring obstructed road and infrastructures into operation and accelerate long-term rehabilitation task.
