NUWAKOT: Prime Minister Balendra (Balen) Shah arrived in Bidur, Nuwakot, on Thursday via land route to inspect flood damage caused by the Bhote Koshi River and evaluate ongoing search and rescue operations.
Upon arrival, the Prime Minister convened an emergency briefing session with top administrative and security officials at the No. 1 Military Training Centre in Bidur Municipality.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Infrastructure Development Sunil Lamsal, Minister for Information and Communication Bikram Timilsina, Bagmati Province Chief Minister Kiran Thapa Magar and Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel.
Nuwakot Chief District Officer Shambu Prasad Regmi and District Police Chief Bipin Regmi briefed the delegation on the extent of human casualties and physical damage caused by the disaster.
