KATHMANDU: Pokhara Avengers will bat first in their Nepal Premier League (NPL) match today. The decision came after Sudurpaschim Royals captain Dipendra Singh Airee won the toss at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur and elected to field.
This match marks the debut of Pokhara Avengers in the tournament. Meanwhile, Sudurpaschim Royals are aiming for their first victory after suffering a 7-wicket defeat against Lumbini Lions in their opening match. Captain Airee noted that losing early wickets during the power play in the previous game made things difficult for the team, adding that they are focused on securing a win today. Sudurpaschim has fielded the same squad that played against Lumbini.
The Pokhara Avengers playing eleven includes Kushal Bhurtel, Bipin Khatri, Kiran Thagunna, Dinesh Kharel, Akash Chand, Shakib Al Hasan, Mehidy Hasan, Dhananjaya Lakshan, and Sadeera Samarawickrama.
