HETAUDA: Simon, a cyclist from Khahare in Lakeside, Pokhara, alongside his 10 year old son Grabiel, arrived in Hetauda as part of their goal to complete a cross-country Mechi-Mahakali bicycle journey.

The father-son duo began their expedition from Kakarbhitta on August 1 and reached Hetauda on the seventh day of their travel.

Speaking in Hetauda, Simon shared plans to push forward toward Chitwan the same day.

Upon their arrival, members and office bearers of the Himalayan Riders Society Hetauda, led by President Raju Thapa Magar, welcomed the pair.

The 37-year-old Simon, who has been cycling since childhood, stated that he embarked on the trip to fulfill the wish of his son, a Grade 4 student at Subhakamana School in Pokhara.

While they have not set a strict deadline, Simon expects to complete the full Mechi-Mahakali journey in roughly 15 to 20 days.
