KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 10 Bangladeshi nationals for residing illegally and engaging in suspicious activities in the Thamel area. The arrests were made following reports of their unauthorized stay in hotels and guesthouses within Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26.
Superintendent of Police Sharat Kumar Thapa Chhetri of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office stated that the individuals were apprehended from several locations, including Hotel Dhaka Express, Hotel De Vedha, and Hotel Al-Rahman. The suspects were identified as Fahima Akhtar Hasan (46), Mahamud (48), Mahabub Hasan (45), Repon Mehmood (49), MD-Keramot Alikhan (30), Sahidur Rahman (30), MD Khalilur Rahman (50), Arifur Rahman (28), MD Maruf Mridha (42), and Mohammad Hanif Miyan (64). All are residents of Gazipur, Bangladesh.
Following the arrests, all 10 individuals have been transferred to the Department of Immigration for further investigation and necessary legal action.
