KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel attended a special ceremony held this morning at the Army Pavilion, Tundikhel, to mark Constitution Day.
On the occasion, a contingent of the Nepal Army presented a guard of honour in respect of President Paudel.
During the special ceremony, the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police performed a march-past and band displays. A banner bearing the inscription “Constitution Day and National Day 2083” was displayed from an army helicopter.
Also present at the ceremony were Vice President Ramsahaya Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Balendra Shah, Chief Justice Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal, National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal, chiefs of security agencies, high-ranking Government of Nepal officials, and representatives of diplomatic missions. The event was hosted by the Constitution Day and National Day Main Celebration Committee.
