KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has been invited to attend the 31st United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31).
The information was shared on Wednesday by Joint Secretary Krishna Prasad Dhakal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs while speaking at a meeting of the National Assembly’s Committee on Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance at Singha Durbar.
According to Dhakal, the invitation to Prime Minister Shah was sent by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
He said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already forwarded the invitation to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. However, Dhakal noted that no decision has yet been made regarding the level of Nepal’s participation in the summit.
