KATHMANDU: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has blacklisted 5 construction companies.
The office issued a notice today confirming the action based on recommendations received from various government agencies.
According to the notice, the companies were blacklisted in accordance with sub-section (1) of section 63 of the Public Procurement Act, 2063, for failing to complete assigned projects within the stipulated time.
The blacklisted firms are prohibited from participating in any procurement processes for a period of 2 years. The office stated that the decision follows formal requests from the concerned authorities regarding the non-performance of these contractors.
