BIRATNAGAR: The Koshi Province Assembly meeting held on Tuesday continued the theoretical deliberations on the bill designed on Dalits rights.
Taking part in the theoretical deliberations, Province Assembly Members Kisor Chandra Dulal, Maiya Shrestha, Radha Krishna Khanal and Shova Chemjong stated that the draft of the bill should be revised as it has many issues to improve but appreciated the bill calling it contextual.
They viewed that the bill should be made strong adding that our society still has some ill practices though the constitution has abolished untouchability and caste-based discrimination.
Meanwhile, the Internal Affairs and Law Minister of Koshi Province Gombu Sherpa said the province government was making best possible efforts to provide relief to the people affected from disasters.
