Rabi Lamichhane dismisses rift speculation, compares political friction to minor in-flight turbulence

A A+ A-

KATHMANDU: Addressing growing speculation surrounding internal party issues and the performance of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) government, Chairman Rabi Lamichhane urged the public to disregard rumors of political instability.

Speaking at an event in Kathmandu on Saturday evening, Lamichhane characterized current political chatter as temporary noise with no real substance, reassuring supporters that his single-party administration remains fully capable of steering the nation forward.

Drawing a parallel between governance and aviation, the RSP chief compared routine administrative friction to an aircraft passing through small clouds.

He noted that brief moments of turbulence do not signal an impending crash, maintaining that his government is operating with clear intentions to navigate through obstacles safely.

Reaffirming his party’s dedication to fulfilling its core promises including job creation—he emphasized that while timeline targets may occasionally shift, the administration remains committed to creating a functional environment for citizens rather than giving up on its commitments.
