Ram Prasad Dahal appointed editor-in-chief of Nepal Live

KATHMANDU: Journalist Ram Prasad Dahal has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Nepal Live, following a decision by the publication’s Board of Directors on Thursday.

Dahal was formally handed his appointment letter by Nepal Live Chairman Anil Neupane during a ceremony at the publication’s office in Anamnagar, Kathmandu. Welcoming the new editor-in-chief, Neupane expressed confidence that Nepal Live would reach new heights under Dahal’s editorial leadership.

A native of Melamchi Municipality-3, Sindhupalchok, Dahal has nearly three decades of experience in journalism. He began his career at the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) and has since worked in various editorial roles at Kantipur Daily, Space Time Daily, Rajdhani Daily, Swatantra Samachar Sewa, Naya Patrika Daily, Image Channel Television, The Rising Nepal, and Ratopati (where he most recently served as an editor).

Dahal currently serves as the General Secretary of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ). Academically, he holds an MPhil in Public Administration from Tribhuvan University, a Master’s degree in Journalism from Purbanchal University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Tribhuvan University. He is also involved in teaching and academic research.
