Sai Pallavi, making her Bollywood debut as Sita, also secured her personal highest opening day collection, shattering the record set by her previous best, ‘Amaran’. Furthermore, the film set a new benchmark for Diwali releases, dethroning Aamir Khan’s ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ to become the biggest Diwali opener in Bollywood history. It currently ranks as the second-biggest Bollywood opening of 2026, trailing only ‘Dhurandhar 2’.

On the global stage, ‘Ramayana’ registered an opening day gross of Rs 126.70 crore, making it the fourth-biggest worldwide Bollywood debut. Within just 24 hours, the film entered the top 10 highest-grossing films of Ranbir Kapoor’s career globally. Similarly, it became Sai Pallavi’s second-highest-grossing film worldwide, standing only behind ‘Amaran’. Produced by Namit Malhotra’s DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film is expected to dominate the four-day extended Diwali weekend.
