KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Balendra Shah has urged all concerned agencies to step up coordinated efforts to search for, rescue, and provide relief to people affected by the severe floods in Rasuwa.
A meeting of the National Council for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management was convened at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar to review the damage caused by the floods that struck the district this morning.
Officials briefed the meeting on the latest situation and the extent of the damage reported so far, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Following the briefing, PM Shah directed the concerned authorities to take immediate and necessary measures to address the disaster and assist those affected.
He also called on all stakeholders to contribute from their respective locations to strengthen search, rescue, and relief operations in the flood-hit areas.
