DHADING: Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), stated today that permanent reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in flood-affected regions must be prioritized alongside immediate relief and temporary management.
Conducting an on-site inspection of flood-affected areas in Galchhi Rural Municipality, Dhading, Dahal noted that the floods caused extensive human and material losses, emphasizing the need for dedicated focus on rebuilding and restoring affected communities.
“The physical damage is substantial. Moving forward, attention must be centered on providing relief as well as executing both temporary and permanent reconstruction and rehabilitation work,” he said.
Prachanda mentioned that the party initiated rescue, relief, and management efforts immediately following the disaster.
He noted that the party appealed to its leaders and cadres to actively engage in relief work and subsequently held meetings to assess the post-disaster situation.
