KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) parliamentary party leader Gyan Bahadur Shahi has called for amendments to Nepal’s existing laws concerning cases involving rape followed by murder.
Speaking at Monday’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Shahi urged the government to prepare and table a draft amendment bill in Parliament.
“The existing laws concerning rape followed by murder need to be amended. Bring a draft amendment to Parliament. Let us set aside the ruling and opposition sides, amend the law and pass it through Parliament,” Shahi said.
