SARLAHI: The Conflict Victims Children Home, based in Ghurkauli, Harion Municipality-5, has announced it will provide shelter and support to 25 children who lost their parents in the Bhote Koshi floods.
The home, operated by Chetana Sandesh Nepal, made the commitment during a press conference held on Thursday evening.
Surendra Lama, president of the shelter, stated that the organization has decided to take responsibility for the upbringing and education of the affected children.
The process to bring children from the worst-hit districts of Rasuwa, Dhading, and Nuwakot to the facility is currently underway through the District Administration Office in Sarlahi.
The shelter currently houses 28 children who have lost their parents, providing them with ongoing care and educational opportunities.
Officials noted that this initiative is a significant social responsibility effort during the ongoing disaster recovery period.
The organization aims to ensure that the newly admitted children receive the same level of support and educational access as the current residents.
