KATHMANDU: Lumbini Lions, representing Lumbini Province in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2026, has renewed its partnership with Shine Resunga Development Bank as its ‘home development bank partner.’
The bank previously served as a partner for the team during the second edition of the tournament.
The agreement was signed by the bank’s Deputy CEO Lokraj Paneru and Lumbini Lions team manager Laxmandev Acharya.
Acharya stated that the partnership with the only national-level development bank established in Lumbini Province will facilitate investment in players and boost team morale.
Deputy CEO Paneru noted that the collaboration aims to support the development of cricket and encourage players representing the province.
Chief Brand Officer of the bank, Prabhas Rai, expressed confidence that the partnership with the Lumbini Lions-the winners of the second NPL edition-would also contribute to the branding and promotion of tourism across Lumbini Province.
The third edition of the Nepal Premier League, organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), is scheduled to take place from Oct. 26 to Nov. 21. The Lumbini Lions secured the title during the previous edition of the league.
