KATHMANDU: Zimbabwe star all-rounder Sikandar Raza will play for Chitwan Rhinos in the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), the franchise announced on Saturday.
Raza, an experienced figure in international and franchise cricket, is regarded as one of the most impactful all-rounders in the game. Capable of changing the course of a match with both bat and ball, he has represented Zimbabwe at the highest level and featured in several leading T20 leagues around the world.
In T20 internationals, Raza has scored 3,089 runs and taken 107 wickets in 133 matches. He is one of only two men’s T20 international players to have surpassed both 3,000 runs and 100 wickets.
He has a batting average of 26.62 and a strike rate of 136.92, while his bowling average stands at 23.54 with an economy rate of 6.88.
Raza previously played in Nepal during the 2021 Everest Premier League (EPL), representing Biratnagar Warriors. His arrival is expected to further strengthen Chitwan Rhinos’ international lineup for the upcoming NPL season.
