KATHMANDU: Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has directed the removal of several ‘derogatory’ and ‘unnecessary’ words used during meetings of the House of Representatives from the parliamentary record.
At Monday’s House meeting, Speaker Aryal ordered the removal of the words ‘bear,’ ‘prostitute’ and ‘cyber army’ used by lawmaker Indira Rana Magar during the House. Similarly, he directed the removal from the parliamentary record of the terms ‘sacrifice of citizens,’ ‘Pakistani model,’ ‘North Korean model’ and ‘America’ used by Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ during the House meeting.
Speaker Aryal said the words were inappropriate and unnecessary and therefore ordered that they be removed from the parliamentary record.
