Sri Lanka hands over 1 million dollars for flood victims

KATHMANDU: Sri Lanka has officially handed over 1 million dollars in financial aid pledged for flood-affected regions in Nepal. The contribution was presented to Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal by Sri Lankan Ambassador to Nepal Ruwanthi Delpitiya during a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Ambassador Delpitiya expressed her condolences over the significant loss of life and property caused by the recent floods. Minister Khanal extended his gratitude to the government and the people of Sri Lanka for their support. He noted that the gesture reflects the deep friendship and bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
