KATHMANDU: The finance committee of the House of Representatives has formed a seven-member subcommittee to study the impact of the recent floods in Rasuwa on the economy and to analyze climate finance.
The decision was made during a committee meeting held at Singha Durbar today.
The subcommittee is coordinated by lawmaker Sushil Khadka. Other members include Narendra Kumar Kerung, Parshuram Tamang, Dr. Pushpa Raj Kandel, Lima Adhikari, Pushpa Chaudhary, and Sushant Baidik.
Committee Chairperson Dr. Krishna Hari Budhathoki stated that the subcommittee has been mandated to conduct a study on the economic impact of the Rasuwa floods and climate finance, with a deadline to submit its report by Sept. 18.
