KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has granted permission to review its earlier verdict in the dispute over the official recognition of the Nepali Congress.
A full bench comprising Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Sharma and Justices Nityananda Pandey and Shrikanta Poudel issued the order on Thursday, allowing the previous decision to be reconsidered.
Former party president Sher Bahadur Deuba and former acting president Purna Bahadur Khadka had filed separate petitions seeking a review of the judgment. Earlier, the Supreme Court had recognized the Central Working Committee led by Gagan Thapa. Challenging that decision, Deuba and Khadka had petitioned the court for a review of the ruling.
