KATHMANDU: Swiss Ambassador to Nepal Danielle Meuwly paid a courtesy call on Vice President of Nepal Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav to formally invite him to the Swiss National Day reception and the official celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Nepal.

During the meeting, Ambassador Meuwly reaffirmed Switzerland’s longstanding commitment to strengthening the close friendship and partnership between the two countries. Reflecting on seven decades of cooperation, she underscored the shared ambition to further deepen bilateral relations by advancing the partnership from traditional development assistance to expanded trade and economic cooperation.

She said Switzerland looks forward to fostering greater investment, sustainable economic opportunities, and shared prosperity as the two nations celebrate 70 years of diplomatic ties.
