NEPALGUNJ: Police have arrested two individuals from Kohalpur, Banke, with 13 kg 64 grams of opium and 148 grams of hashish in their possession.
According to Prati Singh Rathore, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Banke, a joint team from the Narcotics Control Bureau, Nepalgunj, and the District Police Office, Surkhet, arrested the suspects from Kohalpur Municipality-6 following a tip-off.
The arrested have been identified as Karna Bahadur Budha of Rukum and Topjung alias Type Singh Giri of West Rukum, police said.
Police said they also seized a digital weighing machine and Rs 5,000 in cash from the suspects.
During the operation, police fired one round into the air while attempting to arrest the two, according to authorities.
