JAJARKOT: Two people have gone missing and seven others sustained injuries after a landslide triggered by continuous rain struck Risang in Bheri Municipality-2, Jajarkot district.
According to District Police Office Jajarkot, the missing individuals have been identified as 54-year-old Umasingh Khatri and 70-year-old Bhim Bahadur Karki.
Among the injured, Ram Bahadur Shahi (60) is in critical condition and has been referred to Nepalgunj for advanced medical care following preliminary treatment at Jajarkot District Hospital.
The landslide also destroyed a two-story house in Bheri Municipality-3 and swept away two temporary shelters.
Security forces, including joint teams from the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force, have been deployed to the site to carry out search and rescue operations.
